Personal Care Assistance

Grooming

Caregivers assist clients with grooming such as applying make-up, oral hygiene, washing /combing hair, and shaving. We want our seniors to maintain a positive self-image; therefore, we encourage independence with grooming tasks.

Bathing/Dressing

Caregivers will assist with bathing and dressing clients with minimal limitations. However, clients must be able to self-transfer in/out of the tub or shower and use appropriate bathing equipment such as shower benches, shower chairs, and bath mats. In the event that bathing services are rendered, a nurse or designee may evaluate the bathroom for safety and review the senior's transfer technique if necessary. We want to ensure the safety of seniors and staff.

Toileting and Incontinence Care

Our caregivers will assist with toileting needs while encouraging independence. We will provide assistance with incontinence, such as verbal cueing, clothing changes, and/or disposable brief changes. We encourage senior's involvement in all aspects of care.
